The village of Varvara is known above all for the beautiful sea. Although the sandy beach is quite small, it is one of the most picturesque on the Black Sea. The village is surrounded by rocky bays, suitable for underwater fishing and diving. Papia Mountain near the village bears the traces of a late classical and medieval fortress.
