SVETI VLAS

Sveti Vlas is a city of resort type, located 5 km from Sunny Beach, at the foot of the Balkan mountains. The resort is quiet and with all necessary modern facilities for living and recreation. Yacht port "Marina Dinevi" is situated in St. Vlas.

St. Vlas (Sveti Vlas) is a small town of a resort type located on the Black sea coast in the southeastern part of Bulgaria. It is close to Sunny Beach (5 km) and 10 km from Nessebar.

Nearby is Elenite resort (4 km), reserve Kamchia and Cape Emine. Sofia is located 420 km from Sveti Vlas, Plovdiv is about 302 km, Varna about 91 km and 40 km Burgas.

Sveti Vlas is located at the foot of the southern slopes of the Balkan mountain range and at the same time on the Black Sea coast.

The climate is favorable for treatment of lung diseases, because of the combination of the sea and mountain. 1 km from St. Vlas is located the Sea sanatorium.

The beach of St. Vlas is about 1.5 km long, with fine and golden sand. Autumn here is long and warm, the winter is short and there are at least 1600 hours of sunshine.

St. Vlas was founded by the Thracians under the name of Larissa during II c., making it one of the oldest settlements in the municipality of Nessebar.

Modern construction in St. Vlas can be divided into two periods - up to 2000 and after 2000.

By 2000, family residential houses with 2, 3 floors were built. Since 2000, the construction on agricultural land begun, across the road towards the beach. The "Bor" street was built to the complex Sun Palace. Today, this street is continued in east-west direction by organizing the majority of modern construction of first and second line from the beach.

Modern construction is dense and there is no specific style in the resort. In the modern part of the city there is a tendency to built in Bulgarian style "monasteries".

    On the seaside alley near the Marina Dinevi yacht port can be found shops as Just Cavali, LIU.JO, Masons, Patrizia Pepe, Vilebriquin, as well Boutique Palace accessories and jewelry.

    The pedestrian promenade in the old town center is full of souvenir shops.

  • RESTAURANTS AND BARS

    Sveti Vlas offers restaurants, shops and cafes with panoramic views, as well as bars and club, but for nightlife you can go to Sunny Beach, which is just a few minutes away.

    Beaches

    The beach of St. Vlas is with fine sand and clean water. The beach is a multiple winner of the prestigious award "Blue Flag". This prize is awarded to beaches that meet 32 criteria for extremely high purity of the beach.

    On the beaches of Sveti Vlas there are cozy cafes and restaurants, paid sunbeds and umbrellas. In some places, the beach has no loungers and parasols and those areas are not guarded.

    On the beach there are prestigious clubs of scuba diving, underwater fishing, wind surfing and sailing.

    For children there are children's playground with inflatable castle, playground, bungee and children's animation.

    Events:

    - The feast of St. Vlas - takes place on 2 May.

    - Annually fencing and martial arts tournaments are held at the Amphitheatre Arena in Sveti Vlas.

    - International sailing regatta "St. Vlas" is conducted in the waters of the Bay of Nessebar, 18, 19 and on July 20th.

    - Supercar rally "Sveti Vlas".

  • SIGHTSEEING

    - Cape Robinson is a favorite place to stroll and picnic on the beach with a small forest, rocks on the shore and small beach.

    - Monasteries. In St. Vlas there are remains of many monasteries from the 14th century, including "St. Peter ", "St. Elijah”, “St. Vlas", " St. Andrew" and" St. Anna ". All monasteries were destroyed in the 18th century.

    - Nature reserve "Kamchia" with dense forests.

    - Elenite Holiday Village.

    - Cape Emine, which is a 60-meter sea cliff. Here you can see the remains of a fortress and monastery and an old lighthouse.

    - The sand dunes of Nessebar. They are fifth with a total area of 10 hectares and flora with rare plant species.

    - Irakli protected area, which is located in the village of Emona, about 20 km north of St. Vlas. The clean sandy beach of Irakli is long and wide. In Irakli at Cape Emine there is a functioning lighthouse.
