In Pamporovo medical care is available in daily medical and dental center "Medicus Alpha", which is located in the center of the resort.

Medical and dental center features a hospital and most modern medical equipment. Besides emergency aid, it is carried out diagnostics and outpatient treatment of internal and pediatrics, ultrasound, ECG, general surgery, orthopedics and traumatology, x-rays, and if necessary the patient is transported by specialized transport to Plovdiv.
The center features a dental sector.

There are hospitals in the nearby town of Smolyan.

The Rhodope Mountain offers opportunities for a variety of summer and winter sports.

Winter tourism

The main tourist flow in Pamporovo is during the winter months.
Skiing and snowboarding is available from late November to late April. Total snow days are over 150 and the snow cover often reaches over 2 meters.

Almost all ski tracks in the resort start at Mount Snejanka, their altitude is from 1926 m to 1400 m.

The ski tracks are of varying lengths and levels of difficulty. For beginners there are several green ones - Pamporovo is famous resort with the best conditions on the Balkans for beginners, with tracks with long and steep slope.
For advanced skiers there are blue and red runs and some very steep black runs.

The total length of the ski runs is over 65 kilometers.

For lovers of cross country skiing and biathlon there are tracks over 30 kilometers around Mount Snejanka and in the area of “Yazovira” (dam), which pass through the Rhodopes and go all the way up to the village of Mugla.

Pamporovo hosts international and national competitions in alpine skiing for men and women, cross country skiing, biathlon and other winter sports.

The main track for international competitions is ¹2 "The Wall", it provides night skiing from 18:00 to 22:00. It is served by Lift ¹2 Studenets-Mount Snejanka.

In Pamporovo there are several ski schools with highly qualified teachers. There are about 15 ski wardrobes with more than 8,000 sets of modern ski and snowboard equipment.

The ski area featues a well developed infrastructure. The tracks are maintained with piste preparation machines and systems for artificial snow. It is offered first aid, dining areas and restaurants in the ski zone.

Summer tourism

In the summer the Rhodope mountains and Pamporovo are also attractive for a holiday.

Some hotels and complexes offer rehabilitation and medical centers, swimming pools, tennis courts, archery, bowling, mountain biking, horseback riding and more.

Near Pamporovo are located spa resorts of Velingrad and Devin with spa centers that use healing mineral water.

In the Rhodopes can be seen the ruins of many ancient and medieval fortresses, including Monyak to Kardzhali, Ustra fortress in the town of Djebel, Tsepina fortress in the village Dorkovo, Momchil Fortress and others.

Near Pamporovo are resorts Stoykite (5 km), the ethnographic complex Shiroka Luka (10 km), the villages of Progled (3 km) and Momchilovtsi (17 km). 10 km north is Chepelare ski resort and 11 km south is the administrative center of Smolyan.
