SUNNY BEACH

Sunny Beach is the largest and most famous sea resort in Bulgaria, with the longest and widest beach strip, natural dunes, clean and calm sea.

Sunny Beach is located in the municipality of Nessebar about 35 km north of Burgas, 90 km south of Varna and 414 km from Sofia.

It is situated on a crescent-shaped bay, facing east. The northern part of the resort reaches the foot of the last hills of Stara Planina mountain (Balkan mountain range), which borders the town of Sveti Vlas. Southern part of the resort merges with the town of Nessebar.

The fast expansion of Sunny Beach makes it the biggest resort on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. Accommodation capacity in hotels is more than 300,000 beds. Moreover there are resorts, campsites and apartment complexes in close proximity to Sunny Beach.

Sunny Beach is connected to the main cities of Bulgaria as well as to the nearby towns and resorts by regular buses and minibuses.

The climate in Sunny Beach boasts 1,700 hours of sunshine from May to October. Average daytime summer temperatures is +27 ° C.

The resort features a beach with a length of 8 km and a width of 30-60 meters, fine golden sand and natural sand dunes, flat sandy sea bottom.

The resort offers many opportunities for sports and entertainment, shops, bars, restaurants and clubs, international festivals.

There are several medical and rehabilitation centers, summer theater and outdoor cinema, shopping center, bazaars for artistic goods.
