Burgas is the second largest city at the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria, and the fourth largest city
in Bulgaria. Burgas is economic, transport and cultural center in Southeast Bulgaria, but also the administrative center of Municipality Burgas.
It is located 382 km from the capital Sofia, 115 km from the city of Varna and 253 km from the city of Plovdiv.
Burgas is located at the westernmost point of the Black Sea in the eastern part of the Burgas
Plain. The city is surrounded by lakes Burgas, Atanassovsko Lake and Mandra Lake.
